God revealed to me that we build relationship with Him. Spirituality is about many things. It normally focuses on unseen aspect of life which is spirit. Also, spirituality is about coming to know yourself as spirit in human form. To sum it all up Spirituality is about God our Creator and His mighty works and will upon our lives done in spirit.
There is no way you can go through spirituality without turbulence, challenges and intense difficulties on your journey, it is not a fairy-tail one. Life is not without troubles and trails. We always seek solution for our everyday troubles and problems but from who? Thank God we have institutions established to help us for instances schools to educate, hospitals for healing, dentist for our teeth, churches for spiritual growth, banks for our money and investments and many more. The remaining question here is when it comes to deep personal problems and life questions who do we turn to or who do we go to? Some of these institutions are there to help but there are times they are just not enough.
Building relationship with God is a solution when it comes to living a spiritual life, you get peace. So many things are involved when we practice spirituality. To some, it may not come to mind that God, our Creator is the inventor of everything spiritual in our life. Others on the other hand will acknowledge the existence of a Divine Source who is Spirit and is present in our lives one self and in all things. We can find God almost in all things as He is Spirit. Everything which is spirituality has direct source from and is link to God.
Building Relationship with God Through Prayers, Meditation, Worship, Contemplation and Faith
As I reflected on the revelation God gave me, I though getting to know God through building a relationship with Him will be ideal as it heighten your spiritual life. Spirituality involves so many things sometimes the encounter of evil spirits can become a problem, they infiltrate and intertwine into your spiritual life, so having relationship with God who is the Holy Spirit through prayers can cast these evils out from your life something I have experienced.
Building Relationship with God: Practices and Challenges
Just how precisely do we build a relationship with God? We build relationship with God by praying, worship and contemplating to God and as God revealed through meditation too. Worship and contemplation also go a long way in building relationship with God. Use meditation to quite the mind and connect with God and focus on His qualities like love, goodness and compassion this helps deepen your understanding and worship of Him.
Prayer is a two-way communication between you and God. Use prayers to build relationship with God. As I wrote in one of my previous blog post We pray directly to God, make your desires and intentions known to Him, be yourself when praying, do not fake by deceiving yourself to be someone else as God knows you. Talk to God through prayers, without communication you cannot build true knowledge with God, you cannot build a personal relationship with Him, prayers are key to a strong relationship.
There are times there may seem to be no need to have relationship with God, you might even think it’s superstitious to believe in something intangible (spirit) that could not be verified scientifically or experience in the real world. The evidence of God existence is all around us in the real world. You will at some point experience God in all things through spirituality, you will acknowledge the existence of a Divine Being in all things at some point around us, this is God.
Personal Guidance and Uniqueness of Spiritual Path
By building a relationship with God through prayers and meditation through the practice of spirituality with God, He can reveal and show you the way through difficulties. There are times you may temporarily lose your sense of self during spiritual experiences such was my experience. God knows you personally and can guide you through life turbulence such as these through revelation, inspirations and insight about what to do personally when you have problems. God can also reveal your interest like career path, your spiritual gifts among others. He can led you to your actual spiritual life path no two individuals are the same when it comes to spirituality everyone’s path is unique.
He also has Archangels, Angels and Ascended Masters at hand to help you as you build relationship with Him. Wait for His directions to get to know them. Waiting will help eliminate dangerous evil spirits from entering into your life.
Personal Responsibility and Growth
Relationship with God is personal. Purifying yourself is essential in one’s spiritual journey. Confessing your sins to Him and recognising your needs to have your sins forgiven and accepting His gift of forgiveness is something you must do.
Some spiritual writers have written about building intimacy with God to build a strong relationship. This can also help since intimacy takes you deeper into God in knowing and trusting Him to build personal connection. Prayers, obedience, seeking God’s presence through meditation and repentance are few examples of how to develop intimacy with God to build relationship with Him.
We must also have faith in God when building a relationship with Him otherwise our relationship with Him is meaningless. As I wrote in one of my blog post We Learn Faith, faith comes by recognising there is God who is faithful who always loves us. We must believe that God love us and have faith to trust the process. Be patient.
By building relationship with God, you do not only get to know Him, but you also develop other inner moral virtues such as caring, compassion and accountability. Accountability enables you to build strong relationship with God as it makes it easier to overcome sins. It brings forth discipline and discipline enable you to avoid things that affect your happiness. You are able to live life with self-love, happiness and peace.
As you build relationship with God you get to understand Him and know Him and His ways you will build trust with Him through faith to endure life.
